Paris Hilton, House Music’s Next Big DJ?

Ms. Hollywood Party Princess herself, Paris Hilton, has just announced her official DJ debut and what is expected to be the launch of her foray into a DJ career. At the end of June, she is scheduled to play a one-hour set at the Pop Music Festival in Sao Pauolo, Brazil. Nothing like starting things off playing for an intimate crowd of 30,000!
We’ve been hearing from friends close to her that for the past six months she’s actually been taking daily DJ lessons, and working with some of the best producers in the game. Her current boyfriend DJ Afrojack is, I’m sure, helping her develop her craft.
Whether she’s developed some real talent remains to be seen, but it’s certainly interesting that someone of her stature in pop culture would go in this direction. We all know she’s been working on a house music album. And with her history in the party and nightclub scene both in Hollywood and worldwide, this would appear to be a nature direction for her.
