The explosive development at the Hollywood and Vine corridor in Hollywood in recent years has seen a huge shift in the city’s nightlife scene. Enter Lexington Social House, set to officially open its doors sometime in April 2011. Taking over the space formerly occupied by Forbidden City, it’s a serious upscale restaurant/lounge social house with a heavy Manhattan style.
Currently the venue is open for private events, but the brother and sister duo Jeremy and Junella Chin have developed this new space into something special. Along with the help of Choice Hospitality Group, and designer Thomas Shoos, the venue boasts features such as classic Queen Anne chairs set against exposed brick walls, pressed tin ceilings, and a carrara marble bar. These dueling styles meld together to create a feeling of chic and sophistication, yet still casual enough to set one at ease. The back of the venue features a sizable outdoor garden patio area with a fireplace, trees, and a bar. The American flare menu is being created by Mette Williams, formerly of Spago and Cut. And for the nightlife element, there will be a dj spinning a couple nights a week for parties that will go late into the summer evenings.
We predict Lexington Social House will become the next Hollywood/Vine hit on the restaurant and lounge scene. So remember, you heard it here first.
