Since St. Patty’s Day 2013 is right around the corner, dozens of bars all across Los Angeles will be throwing parties to celebrate. Can you say… green beer? Here’s a roundup of the 10 best St. Party’s Day events happening in LA this Sunday.
1.) Rock & Reilly’s Block Party (SATURDAY)
For the second year in a row this Irish “rock” pub will be throwing a St. Patty’s Day party in its rear parking lot. It’s happening this Saturday from Noon to 10pm, and includes games, guest DJs, a photo booth, three food trucks, and eight full bars. 2.) The Hudson (SUNDAY)
The Hudson has been around for a few years – an eternity in LA’s bar culture – making it an established spot for St. Patty’s Day festivities. And this year is no different. Stop into The Hudson this Sunday and you can get shots of Bushmills for $5, Irish car bombs for $8, and $4 pints of green beer. Just be sure to get there early if you want a seat. 3.) The Parlor on Melrose (SUNDAY)
You don’t have to be Irish to enjoy $6 kegs and eggs at the Parlor on Melrose this Sunday. The beer and breakfast special is happening from 10am to Noon, and will be followed by all day food and drink specials, like Irish nachos, chicken wings and corned beef sandwiches for $5, green beer pitchers for $12, and $5 Guinness and skittle shots. 4.) Molly Malone’s (SUNDAY)
Everyday is St. Patrick’s Day at Molly Malone’s, which is why they amp up each March 17th with live Irish music. This year’s lineup includes the Dunrussagans, The Fudogs, The Black Shamrocks, and the Rapscallions. The party begins at 6pm and lasts until they close up shop at 2am.

5.) The Churchill (SUNDAY)
With its namesake being one of the biggest (figuratively speaking, of course) boozers in history, you can expect lots of drink specials at The Churchill this St. Patty’s Day. Shots of Bushmills will run you $5, Irish car bombs are $8, and if you happen to want a pint of green beer (of course you do!), then that’ll cost you $4. AS an added bonus, The Churchill will also be serving up corned beef hash for $15.

6.) Tom Bergin’s (SUNDAY)
You can bet the oldest Irish-themed watering hole in the city knows a thing or too about St. Patty’s Day. This year the festivities kick off at 6am, with all day Irish breakfast and an eight-tap “stout off”. 7.) Patrick Molloy’s (FRIDAY – MONDAY)
What better way to spend St. Patty’s Day then by the beach? Patrick Molloy’s in Hermosa kicks off the holiday in style with a weekend long event. It all begins on Friday, and doesn’t stop until early Monday morning. Breakfast specials will be offered on Saturday and Sunday, with green beer flowing all weekend. DJ Pep will also be spinning tunes on Sunday night. Doors open at 7am on Sunday.

8.) 41st Annual Casey’s St. Patrick’s Day Street Festival (SUNDAY)
The biggest St. Patty’s Day street festival in LA is happening in front of Casey’s Irish Pub in Downtown. The green beer starts flowing at 6am, with live music from some of the best tribute bands in the country, like Hollywood U2, Fan Halen, and the Police Experience. 9.) O’Brien’s (FRIDAY – SUNDAY)
If one day of celebration isn’t enough, then you’ll definitely want to check out O’Brien’s in Santa Monica for their St. Patty’s Day Weekend Extravaganza. There’ will be live Irish music all day long from the Shelighly’s, Slugger O’Toole, and Hoist the Colors, as well as specials on green beer and food.

Hollywood’s only Irish pub opens its doors at 6 am this St. Patty’s Day for an all day party. Expect bag pipers, a photo booth, free swag, and green beer all day long, not to mention a bangers eating contest and DJ Thrills spinning tunes from 5pm ‘til close.
