English DJ and renown dubstep producer Rusko (real name Chris Mercer), is heading to Los Angeles to headline a special one-off event at the legendary Club Nokia. The event is all part of an interactive concert series where the top local college DJ’s from USC, UCLA, and UC Riverside battle it out to win the title of Best College DJ. It is being put on by Orientation LA and in conjunction with Goldenvoice and Recess U.
Defending champion DJ Tony Fresch of USC will go up against Something Scandalous, and Mature Content to see who will wear the crown. The audience decides the winner!
After the DJ contest, co-headlining DJ’s Gladiator and Tokumonsta will spin their magic before the one-and-only Rusko takes the stage to deliver one of his high energy, larger-than-life sets. Known for steering his dubstep style to a more upbeat feel than is typical of the genre, Rusko has won over many mainstream house music fans. He’s also worked with the likes of Pete Tong, Santigold, and Switch, so expect an night of full-blown insanity!
