SNEAKERHEAD – Doernbecher Air Jordan IV: Sneakers for a Cause
With the release of many highly anticipated kicks, November 5th will prove to be a very busy day for avid sneakerheads and fashionistas alike. Five brand new sneakers, including Air Jordan (“Knick Spizikes”) and Nike’s Lebron James line (“Miami Nights”,”Scarface”) will hit the scene, making Saturday a free-for-all for everyone who appreciates a great sneaker on their feet.
With so much hype and commotion surrounding many of these shoes and their release, it’s very easy to lose sight of one especially important pair of shoes releasing on the 5th. Doernbecher Children’s Hospital has been working with Jordan brand for many years collaborating together to raise much needed funds for the hospital and its patients.
This year, Doernbecher patient 11 year old Isaiah Scott and the finest designers at Nike got together to design this one- of-a-kind sneaker. With Isaiah leading the way, the team put together a crazy version of the Air Jordan IV. The sneaker features a black suede upper with graphic, volt accents midsole, icy clear bottom and to top it off a large superman symbol on the tongue in honor of Isaiah hero Superman. Isaiah’s face also appears on the front upper next to the ankle. Check out the video below:
So hit up your local Foot Locker this weekend and grab a pair of the Doernbecher Air Jordan IV and help raise money for a great cause.
Good Luck and Rock’em Well.
